For Yael Ross, studying the impact of immigration on a baby’s education is “very personal.”Ross, an immigrant from Mexico and a former teacher, is the director of the Center for New American Children & Education on the agency Children at Risk, a nonpartisan studies and advocacy agency devoted to addressing the basis of poor public rules affecting children.
Youngsters with documented immigrant parents; U.S. Citizen children with undocumented immigrant parents; undocumented minors; and “Dreamers,” recipients of an Obama-era program that allows young immigrants who have been delivered to the U.S. Illegally as children to stay in the united states of America.
The Center for New American Children began in January 2018 with the intention of reading and know-how the impact of the latest immigration enforcement rules on Texas schools.
